— 01
Who sells electric vans for businesses in Chile?
e-auto (E-Auto SpA) is the official importer in Chile of GECKO Motors commercial electric vehicles since 2023. We sell, homologate and provide after-sales for 100% electric vans for fleets: last-mile, distribution, public service and ESG operations. We operate from Santiago with nationwide coverage through the INALCO network.
— 02
How much does an electric van cost in Chile?
e-auto's commercial electric vans start from $29,750,000 CLP (VAT included) for the GECKO EV48 last-mile van, and from $49,990,000 CLP (VAT included) for the GECKO MagicWay regional distribution van. These are reference prices; the final value depends on configuration, fleet volume and financing or leasing options.
— 03
How much do you save with an electric vehicle versus a diesel one?
Savings come from two fronts: energy and maintenance. The EV48 delivers 6.2 km/kWh (3CV Chile certification), which strongly reduces cost per kilometer versus diesel, and an electric motor has far fewer parts to maintain (no oil, filters or clutch). The exact saving depends on your annual mileage and electricity tariff: at e-auto.global there is a TCO calculator (total cost of ownership) that projects the saving for your specific operation.
— 04
What real range do e-auto's electric vans have?
The GECKO EV48 has 305 km of range (CLTC cycle), ideal for urban last-mile routes. The GECKO MagicWay reaches 353 km (CHTC-LT cycle), designed for regional distribution with greater payload. In real operation range varies with load, route and temperature; both models are validated for Chile's climate, including the heat of the north.
— 05
Do I need a special installation to charge the vehicle?
For most fleets an AC wallbox at base is enough: the EV48 charges at 6.6 kW and reaches 100% overnight. For long routes, both models support DC fast charging (EV48 from 20% to 80% in 45 minutes). We advise you on sizing the charging infrastructure for your operation.
— 06
What about technical service, parts and warranty?
After-sales is delivered through the INALCO network with nationwide coverage. The warranty is 3 years or 150,000 km for body and motor, and 8 years or 400,000 km for the battery. We keep parts in stock and, for the battery, individual modules are replaced instead of the full pack, which lowers long-term maintenance cost.
— 07
Are they suitable for my type of operation?
The EV48 is optimized for last-mile and urban delivery: ultra-low floor, 1,440 kg payload and up to 6.7 m³ of volume. The MagicWay targets regional distribution, with greater range, 1,765 kg payload and 8.1 m³. We serve logistics, retail, public services, food and companies with ESG goals. Tell us your route and volume and we'll recommend the right model.
— 08
How long does it take to get the vehicle if I buy today?
With stock available in Santiago, delivery is in 5 business days. For larger volumes without stock, importing takes around 120 days: 90 days from the port in China plus about 30 days of 3CV homologation in Chile.
— 09
Do you offer leasing or financing for fleets?
Yes. We work with iMotion for operating leasing and with Banco Estado and BCI for direct financing. The typical EV48 monthly payment at 5 years starts around $685,000 CLP and includes maintenance. We structure the scheme according to the size and term of your fleet.
