e-auto is an active partner in USM's Punto EV project. As an electric-mobility agency we have arranged agreements with Automotores Gildemeister (JAC) and INALCO (Chevrolet) to deliver 100% electric cars at special prices and preferential financing to the entire university community.
Punto EV is USM's electric-mobility initiative: a network of charging stations for electric vehicles powered by photovoltaic solar energy. The first station, at the Casa Central Valparaíso campus, made USM the first higher-education institution in Latin America to deploy sustainable infrastructure of this kind.
Low-carbon laminated-wood structure (designed by architect and USM alumnus Claudio Montenegro), driven through the Advanced Center for Electrical and Electronic Engineering (AC3E). The network is expanding to the San Joaquín, Vitacura, Viña del Mar and Concepción campuses, bringing electric charging closer to students, faculty and staff.
